After that, he also assisted Sanjay Gadhvi and Vijay Krishna Acharya. Let me tell you that Zafar made his debut in Hindi cinema with Yash Raj's film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan as a director. The film did well at the box-office.

After which he directed the film Gunday in 2014. The film did more than 100 crores at the box office. Apart from this, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat are his best films. Both Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai films did more than 300 crores business in India.
