Sanjeev Kumar was one of the wealthiest actors of Bollywood's select multifaceted talent. He was born on 9 July 1938 in Mumbai into a middle-class Gujarati family. He used to dream of working as an actor in films since childhood. To fulfill this dream, he joined theater in the early stages of his life and later he joined the Acting School of Filmalaya. Meanwhile, in the year 1960, we got a chance to play a small role in the film 'Hum Hindustani'.

As an actor Sanjeev Kumar got the opportunity to work in the film 'Nishan' released in the year 1965. After this she acted in many films like 'Smuggler', 'Husband and Ishq', 'Husn Aur Ishq', 'Badal', 'Naunihal' and 'Gunhagar' but none of the films were successful at the box office. In the 1968 film Shikar, he appeared in the role of a police officer. He also received the Filmfare Award for Supporting Actor for his strong performance in this film. In the film 'Sangharsh' released in 1968, he worked with Dilip Kumar. After this, Sanjeev Kumar made his acting debut among the audience through the success found in films like 'Ashirwad', 'Raja aur Ranka', 'Satyakam' and 'Anokhi Raat'. After the tremendous success of the film 'Toy' released in 1970, Sanjeev Kumar made his own identity as an actor.

He was awarded the 'National Award' for Best Actor for the film 'Dastak', which was released in the year 1970 itself. He appeared in the role of Gunge in the film 'Try', released in 1972.

His first film as a hero was "Nishan (1965)". But from the movie called Toy (1970), Star. This year he had one more film - Dastak. He also received the National Award for Best Actor for his best performance in this film. After this, he played memorable characters in films like "Anubhav" (1971), "Sita Aur Geeta (1972)".

Sanjeev Kumar started his film career in 1960 with a small role of just two minutes in the film Hum Hindustani. In the year 1962, he gave a screen test for Rajshree Production Aarti in which he could not pass. After this he got many B-grade films. Despite these insignificant films, through his acting, he caught everyone's attention. Sanjeev Kumar first got a chance to work in the 1965 film Nishan as the lead actor. From the year 1960 to 1968, Sanjeev Kumar struggled to make his place in the film industry. After the film Hum Hindustani, he went on to accept whatever role he got.
