The year 1971 was the most memorable year of Rajesh Khanna's acting career. That year he gave superhit films like Kati Kite, Anand, Aan Milo Sajna, Mehboob's Henna, Haathi Mere Saathi and Andaz. He kept the box office buzzing for many years through hits such as Doos, Dushman, Chef, Mere Jeevan Saathi, Joru Ka Ghulam, Anurag, Daag, Namak Haram and Humshakal. Rajesh Khanna's exact performance in soulful scenes is still remembered.
His strong acting in Anand film has the status of an example. The character of a person suffering from an incurable disease, Rajesh Khanna made classics by living as a lively person. Rajesh was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for the second time in a year for his memorable performance in Anand. Three years later, he was also awarded this award for the film Avishkar. In 2005, he was given the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.
